I create immersive coastal imagery from Mount Maunganui, New Zealand; for brands, spaces, and those drawn to the sea.

I’m Lou, a coastal photographer based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.

I create ocean imagery designed to live beyond the moment, whether that’s as fine art prints in your home, licensed visuals for your brand, or content that brings your story to life online.

My work sits at the intersection of art and application. It’s created to feel calming and immersive, while also working intentionally across spaces, campaigns, and digital platforms.

Each image is captured in natural light and real conditions, designed to evoke a sense of calm, depth, and connection to the coast. From large-scale prints to digital artworks and licensed imagery, the work is created to be both emotionally resonant and highly versatile.

With a background in brand and content marketing, I approach every project with both creative intuition and strategic intent. The goal is not just beautiful imagery, but work that connects, performs, and lasts.

A few things about me

• I once lived in the jungle, sleeping in a bamboo hut and showering in waterfalls (and yes, my asthma disappeared).

• If I have the choice, I’ll always be barefoot.

• I grew up in England and now call Aotearoa home.

• Living by the sea in Papamoa, I have access to over 16km of coastline, from dunes to rock pools to open ocean.
