About Lou Lou B Photo

Lou Burton (me, hi 👋 ) is a sustainable photographer and content creator on a mission to share stories from the wild, inspiring people everywhere to create a deeper connection with our natural world.

Let’s start off with a few fun facts about me.

  • I used to live in the jungle where I slept in a bamboo hut, showered in waterfalls and got cured from asthma (true story).

  • I have a 2 year old who can go from cute to psycho in under one second. Some call it talent, I call it character building… for both of us.

  • I like to grow edible flowers in my garden, the more obscure the better.

  • If I have the choice between wearing sneakers or heels, I’d choose to be barefoot.

  • I grew up in England but now call Aotearoa (New Zealand) home.

  • My fave quote of all time is “To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life” from The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. If you just get the infinite beauty of this quote and movie, I know we’ll be friends.

Ok, personal life aside, I work with brands and people to showcase unique moments in nature through totally immersive photography that will transport prospective clients and customers into otherworldy scenes… apart from they are right here in this world.

Living by the sea in coastal town of Papamoa, New Zealand, I have access to over 16 kilometres of stunning saltwater locations ranging from expansive sand dunes to hidden rock pools and all the glistening turquoise waters in between. Throw into the mix 10+ years experience as a professional in the brand and content marketing world and it’s safe to say I’m your photography and content creation BFF.
