It’s turquoise and aquamarine. Silver and slate. Soft pastel before sunrise. Warm and tropical under the midday sun. Sometimes glossy and jewel-like beneath the surface.
Oceania is a study of life by the water and the changing colours of the ocean, the tiny things I notice, the way light moves across and beneath the surface, and the feeling of being there.
After years spent photographing the ocean, I’ve learned just how much can get lost between what you see with your eyes and what comes back in the RAW file.
The turquoise that gets dulled by RAW. The hidden detail beneath the surface. The silver dancing across the water. The warmth of an island afternoon. That colour the ocean turns before sun-up.
So I developed ways to bring it back.
Oceania is a collection of 14 Lightroom presets built from the editing recipes I use across my own work. From underwater photography and rolling waves to sea glitter, tropical shallows, seascapes and sun-drenched beach days. And born from the same photographic practice that has seen my work collected as fine art and published by titles including Condé Nast Traveller.

Does Oceania work with Lightroom Mobile?
Yes. Oceania is compatible with Lightroom on desktop and mobile, so you can use the presets whether you edit at your computer or on the go.
Are these presets for RAW or JPEG photographs?
Both. Oceania can be applied to RAW and JPEG images, although RAW files give you more flexibility when adjusting exposure, white balance and colour. I personally shoot and edit RAW wherever possible.
Can I use Oceania for underwater photography?
Absolutely. Several of the presets were developed specifically from my underwater photography and are designed to bring back the colour, contrast and depth that can easily get lost beneath the surface.
Can I use the presets for beach and holiday photography?
Yes. Oceania isn't only for professional ocean photography. The collection includes presets suited to beaches, tropical landscapes, coastal adventures and everyday travel photographs — particularly if you love photographing life around the water.
Will every preset work on every photograph?
No — and they're not intended to. Light, water colour, depth, weather, camera settings and location can completely change an image. The 14 presets give you a range of starting points for different ocean conditions and styles, so you can choose the one that best suits the photograph you're working with.
Do I need to adjust the presets after applying them?
Sometimes. Think of a preset as a starting point rather than a one-click fix. Depending on your photograph, you may want to make small adjustments to exposure, white balance or other settings after applying it. The Oceania guide will help you get the best from the collection.
How do I install the Oceania presets?

Are the presets suitable for portraits?
Some can work beautifully on photographs that include people, particularly beach, surf and travel imagery. However, Oceania was developed primarily around ocean, underwater, surf, seascape and coastal photography, rather than as a dedicated portrait or skin-tone preset collection.
